Southeastern is also ranked annually among the top 10 schools nationally in producing Native American graduates. It offers a number of innovative programs to assist Native American students, who comprise approximately 30 percent of the total student enrollment. Among these innovative programs is the Native American in Leadership gradu- ate degree. In a typical year, 85 percent of South- eastern students receive financial aid and 50 percent of graduates are first-genera- tion college graduates. The University is one of the largest employers in the Durant area, and has re- ceived national recognition for its commu- nity service. The Oklahoma Small Busi- ness Development Center (OKSBDC) is also housed on the Southeastern campus. Over the past several years, several facility additions/improvements have enhanced the Durant campus, including a new General Classroom Building; Native American Center for Student Success; Glen D.
